Tis the Season: Yume Dance Studio’s Annual Holiday Show
As the fall season comes around, many of us start making plans for the holidays. At Yume Dance Studio this means preparing for the 2nd annual holiday show.
Yume Dance Studio was started two years ago by Stephani Hutcheson of Council Bluffs. After a partial dance season teaching in the party room of the Classic Café, studio enrollment grew and last year Stephani moved to a larger space in the basement of the Malvern Public Library. With over 55 students enrolled in 25 classes including recreational dance and tumbling classes, adult fitness classes, a parent-child class, competitive dance team, plus hosting a girl scout troop and the EMAYS spirit squad, there’s a lot going on at the studio.
One such activity is the annual holiday show. Last year, 30 kids drawn both from the studio and from the community, along with the ladies of the Something to Tap About dance troupe, helped to put on a spaghetti dinner and evening show for Malvern. Everyone involved had a great time, and proceeds from the show raised money for several full-ride scholarships to the studio.
This year’s show will be held on December 13th at East Mills High School. Anyone with an interest in dance is invited to perform, even if they’re not students at the dance studio. If you’re interested in participating or in lending a hand, contact Yume Dance Studio at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 712-828-0211.
